This guide takes one wallet through the whole loop on Elysium testnet, from getting HYPE to claiming a payout, in under an hour.
Elysium testnet. Tokens have no value. Every token created in the sandbox carries the Demo label.
Add the network#
The app adds the network for you: on the wrong network it shows one button that adds and switches to Elysium testnet. To add it by hand:

Elysium is Kinetiq's Arbitrum Orbit L2 for Hyperliquid, settling to HyperEVM. Gas is paid in HYPE.
Get testnet HYPE#
Use the official faucet: testnet.elysium.kinetiq.xyz/faucet. Connect the wallet you will use in the app. A small amount is enough: the sandbox trades in fractions of a HYPE.

The sandbox loop#
Open /app/sandbox. It is a checklist that reads your progress from the chain and moves to the next step by itself.
- Get testnet HYPE. The step completes when your wallet has a HYPE balance.
- Create a doomed token. Choose a name and a symbol. The demo launchpad deploys a token and its bonding curve, with you as the creator.
- Buy some. Buy your token on its curve with a little HYPE. This is the purchase that will become your proven loss.
- Pull the rug. As the creator you can call the demo
rug()once. It removes 99% of the curve's HYPE and cuts the price by 99%. The HYPE removed comes back to you. - Wait until it is dead. A countdown shows when the oracle will consider the token dead: 10 minutes after the price fell, on testnet.
- Mint
$LIVE.$LIVEis the demo payout token. You can mint 1,000,000 once a day. - Open a Fare. Pick your dead token, a snapshot after the rug, a budget in
$LIVEand the rules. Approve, then open. The Fare is Pending for 2 minutes. - Burn the bag. When the Fare is Open, burn your bag into it. You are both payer and holder here, which is fine for a test.
- Settle. After the window (10 minutes minimum on testnet), settle the Fare. Anyone can do it.
- Claim. Your payout streams over the vesting period (5 minutes minimum on testnet). Claim from the Fare page or from Crossings.
Each step links to the transaction on the explorer once it is confirmed.
Check the Roll yourself#
Every Fare page shows Roll verified or Roll mismatch. To check from a terminal:

Troubleshooting#
- "This token is not dead yet." The countdown has not ended, or someone traded the token and reset it.
- "The snapshot must be in the past." Pick an earlier block, or wait a few seconds and try again.
- "Names containing "danake" are reserved." Choose another name.
- "You can mint $LIVE once a day." Use the
$LIVEyou already have, or wait.
